Director: M. Night Shyamalan

Rating:  3 Stars - worth a watch.

Plot Summary:  David Dunn (BruceWillis) is the sole survivor of a horrific train crash.  Not only did he survive, he received no injuries at all, not even a bruise.  David is a middle-aged security guard who wanders through life with no real purpose but following his miraculous survival he meets the eccentric Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson).  Elijah owns an exclusive comic book art gallery and seems to live in the "comic world" of heroes and villains.  He suffers from a bone disease which makes his bones very easy to break and he has his own theory as to why David survived the train crash and questions David's apparent inability to become sick or injured...

Review:  M. Night Shyamalan who also directed The Sixth Sense directed this film.  There are similarities between the two films but Unbreakable falls short of the superior The Sixth Sense.

Following an intriguing start the story burns out too soon and is then slow paced and mostly uneventful with a disappointing and somewhat hurried ending.  There weren't that many laughs in the film and perhaps a few more would have helped carry the story along.  On the positive side the story is original and has great imagination.

The David Dunn (Bruce Willis) character is on a course of self-discovery and change, which, in spite of the slow pace, is well portrayed.  The eccentric Elijah Price is well acted by Samuel L. Jackson who portrays the obsessiveness and desperation of the character.
