War Of The Worlds (2005) - Sci-Fi/Action ...the special effects in the movie are brilliant. The alien Tripods look menacing as they move across the land destroying everything in their path but it is more the speed and merciless slaughter of the attack that will frighten.

The sound is also excellent in this movie and the noise in scenes like the lightening storm will make you jump out of your seat!


White Heat (1949) - Gangster/Crime - Raoul Walsh's taut dynamic gangster movie from 1949 - that grabs you in the opening moments and never lets go.  James Cagney is Arthur "Cody" Jarrett, a psychotic, mother fixated hoodlum who runs a violent gang specialising in major robberies.
