Elizabeth Masterson (Reese
Witherspoon) is a successful young doctor who works extremely long hours.
Her hard work has paid off and she has finally gotten the promotion she
had been seeking. On her way home, tragedy strikes when her car is
hit by a large truck.
Meanwhile, David Abbott (Mark
Ruffalo) has recently moved to San Francisco and is looking for a place to
stay. His realtor shows him several apartments which all seem
unsuitable. By chance he comes across an ideal apartment with a
fantastic view and decides to rent it. He moves in but it soon
becomes clear that he is not alone...
Based in San Francisco Just
Like Heaven boasts some beautiful scenery and spectacular views from
the apartment that David moves into. The movie is a sweet
romantic comedy that has a similar theme to that of Ghost (1990).
It is extremely funny at times and yet there is a good balance with
romance, and you might well find yourself a little tearful at some of the
later moving scenes. However, some might find these parts slightly
over sentimental. Without giving too much away, there is a slight
twist in the story which keeps things interesting.

Reese Witherspoon who has played
similar roles plays the part well and as always brings a lot of charm to
the movie. There is good chemistry between her character, Elizabeth,
and David (Mark Ruffalo).
Bottom Line: An
entertaining "chick flick". If you enjoy Just Like Heaven you
might also enjoy
