Plot Summary:  Sebastian Caine is a science genius who is leading a team of scientists in their work to develop a serum that will make living matter invisible.  They have already succeeded in making animals disappear and reappear.  The ultimate goal is to be able to do the same to a human.  Without the approval of the Military, who are sponsoring the project, Sebastian decides, with the help of his team, to go to the ultimate step.  He is going to make himself invisible.  All goes well until it is time to return Sebastian to normal and the team run into problems.  To make matters worse there are side effects to this magic serum!  Well, you can't expect to make someone invisible without a few side effects.

Review:  Great on Special Effects but poor on just about everything else.  The script is flat and uninspired.  The story is lame and in the end it is just silly.  What starts off as a thriller ends up as a disappointing "who's next slasher flick".  The film is dressed up by excellent Special Effects but it would have taken more than this to save the film.

Having been made invisible what do you think Sebastian Caine does?  Does he sneak into the White House? Does he sneak into FBI buildings to find out who really killed JFK or have a peek at the Roswell files? No he assaults the girl next door!  This is what he does with "the power to go anywhere and do anything".

The characters are unbelievable.  The team of scientists and doctors just don't look like scientists and doctors.  Kevin Bacon is good at the villain role but he is not convincing as an obsessive science genius.  He just doesn't fit the role.

Lasting thought from this film: "it's amazing what you can do when you don't have to look at yourself in the mirror".
